Can I have an overseas mortgage to buy a property in Cyprus?

 
Yes.  Whilst mortgages can be arranged in a number of currencies, we offer all Between Friends purchasers the benefit of our favorable mortgage package.  80% loan from a swiss franc mortgage (one of the cheapest mortgage rates in the world).  
 
Is there an upper age limited to securing a mortgage?
 
We offer a number of flexible mortgage packages from traditional capital repayment to interest only.  We can extend the term for up to 30 years although we do stipulate that the mortgage must be paid off by the time the youngest person on the mortgage paperwork is 70.
 
Can I purchase off plan to maximize the capital growth?
 
Yes.  We find many purchasers prefer to place a low deposit now to secure a property at today’s prices and enjoy 3-4 years capital growth before they need to pay the balance on completion of the property.
 
Can I visit these developments on an inspection tour?
 
Of course!  We offer a 3 night, 4 day personal inspection visit for any potential purchaser who is interested in purchasing.  The accommodation is provided free of charge for those clients who are happy to place a refundable deposit prior to making their trip.  Our trips offer clients the opportunity to view their chosen development, take the necessary legal advice and meet the developer so they have every confidence when making their property purchase.
 
So reservation deposits are refundable?
 
Absolutely.  As members of the AIPP (Association of Overseas Property Professionals), we allow all potential purchasers the opportunity of placing a refundable deposit of  CY 2,000 and up to 6 weeks in which to travel to Cyprus to inspect or take the necessary legal advice.  If they do not wish to proceed within this 6 week period, the deposit is fully refundable.
 
Where can I go to for legal advice?
 
We recommend purchasers always seek independent legal advice when purchasing a property and I can recommend a number of  lawyers in Cyprus who will happily review your purchase contract.  Costs vary but are typically up to 1% of the purchase price with disbursement fees in addition.
 
What happens on completion – how do I find a management & rental company?
 
All Between Friends homes are managed professionally (generally on-site) for purchasers complete peace of mind.  In addition, we are able to provide a rental booking service for those purchasers who wish to rent their property when not in use by themselves.
